I suppose it's that time again...

For all those regularly blogging folks to be submitting their "best of" lists for 2010.  Lord knows, we'll be posting the same thing here pretty soon.  Josh Vanek from over at Wantage USA, a record label/distro and promoter of the annual Total Fest, has just finished his own list, even including Shahs' recently released debut LP, Dry Heat / Valley Low.  Thanks, Josh!

More x-mas / end-of-year surprises: Shahs will very shortly cease to be a one-piece band and all these uses of "we" and "us" will start to be less a rueful affectation and more of a necessity.  There are many of you that I've spilled the beans to privately, albeit privately drunkenly, but the serious word won't be revealed until our first recordings together.  Admittedly, there is a charm to be lost in expanding Shahs, but the choice of personnel was really a good decision.   You'll see.  We were starting to run into songwriting walls anyway.  Change is good for the...well, just about everything.  Unless you're a supporter of the Tea Party.
